Danny Chapa recently served two years as a Teaching Fellow at the University of North Texas while finishing his Doctorate of Musical Arts degree under the instruction of Dr. Brian Bowman. He received his Bachelor of Music in Music Performance from Louisiana State University in 2008, and in 2010 he received his Masters of Music in Euphonium Performance degree from UNT. Danny is also a member of the euphonium section in the 531st Air National Guard Band of the Southwest, the Lone Star Wind Orchestra, the principal trombonist of the Odysseus Chamber Orchestra and a member of the Founders Tuba Euphonium Quartet. 

As an educator, Danny has had several students win jobs with the 145th Army National Guard Band of Oklahoma and the 531st Air National Guard Band of the Southwest. His students have also won competitions such as the Young Artist Solo Competition at the Great Plains Regional Tuba Euphonium Conference and most recently, two of his students advanced to the semi-finals of the prestigious Leonard Falcone International Euphonium and Tuba Festival.
